Program Overview

At Artéfakt, although this is an on-camera acting class, we doesn’t believe in “film acting” versus “stage acting”. Acting is the Art of Being, and Being is the Art of Truth. Therefore, we push actors to present themselves truthfully and insists on organic and natural performances. We guide actors to deepen their emotional instrument leading to heartfelt acting choices.

We welcomes actors starting at 18 years of age. Our in-person classes accommodate up to 10 students. Each student will received personalized coaching time on their scene. You must master whichever the Film or TV assignment you are given before moving on to a new one. When you’ve reached a proper understanding of your scene, your teacher will assign you new sides. Most students move on to other sides after 2 weeks, 1 week if they’re more advanced. You may also bring a current audition, a past one or a scene you’ve always wanted to work on.

What we will be addressing in class:

  1. Script analysis

  2. Character development

  3. Body language, physical behaviours

  4. Specificity of acting choices

  5. Listening, reacting, general awareness
